Midwest Foods is a wholesale food distributor providing top quality food products to numerous food establishments in Chicago, surrounding suburbs, Michigan, Wisconsin and Indiana. Family owned and run company for two generations, we import fruits & vegetables from all over the country and other parts of the world to distribute these products to local markets. We are looking to complement our growth by selecting staff that will enhance our company’s mission to provide quality service and products. Midwest Foods is looking to hire a WMS Training Specialist to train our current employees on how to utilize our new systems.
This training specialist is responsible for the successful implementation and delivery of trainings on WMS and support. The Training Specialist will work with Team Leads, Managers, and current employees and provide training and assistance to in house personnel relating to all aspects of our WMS systems and equipment.
Responsibilities
- Provide on-site hands-on training and support to all facility personnel for WMS implementation, including any related interfaces or ancillary systems
· Provide first-level support for on-site go-live and post-go-live support to ensure the sustainability of the new WMS system
· Assist in creating training materials and documentation, and maintain up-to-date revisions.
· Track employee training progress.
· Train new hires, offering guidance and support as they learn their roles.
· Identify areas for additional training and provide coaching to improve performance.
· Collaborate with management to improve warehouse processes.
Requirements
· Advanced proficiency in WMS systems (Netsuite WMS preferred)
· Bilingual in Spanish is required
· Must have a high school diploma or general education degree (GED)
· 2 years’ experience in working in a warehouse environment
· Strong understanding of warehouse distribution operations
· Excellent communication, presentation and organizational skills
· Strong and energetic personality, able to communicate on operations as well as management level
· Ability to engage learners of various backgrounds and skill levels

Pay: Starting at $27/hr depending on experience
