RESPONSIBILITIES/ DUTIES:
- Ensures performance aligns with schedule and cost budgets, negotiating changes with clients as needed.
- Makes authoritative decisions impacting extensive engineering activities, maintaining key contacts for persuasion and negotiation.
- Recommends personnel and funds to fulfill organizational objectives.
- Coordinates internal and external engineering resources throughout project phases.
- Reviews discipline-specific design deliverables for compliance and facilitates smooth field implementation.
- Monitors design and quality compliance post-project completion.
- Proficient in commissioning process plants and industrial facilities.
- Review design scope criteria and quantities, coordinating with projects for additional estimating bases.
- Establishes conceptual scope for studies and scoping requirements for cost estimates.
- Prepares estimate basis and assumption documentation.
- Coordinates pricing structure for discipline or specialty cost estimates.
EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE
- A bachelor's degree in a related engineering discipline is required.
- PE license is a benefit but not a requirement.
- An engineering degree is strongly desired, but non-degreed candidates may also be considered for understanding policies and procedures.
- Minimum of 15 years of experience in a Project Manager Role, managing several projects.
- Demonstrates strong familiarity with multiple engineering disciplines, with expert proficiency in at least one.
- Proficient in CPM scheduling and project controls and possesses advanced project management expertise.
- Aligns scope, schedule, and budget to compile Total Installed Cost (TIC) data for assigned projects.
- Hands-on experience with AspenTech Estimating software tools preferred (Icarus 2000, KBase, and Capital Cost Estimator).
- Exceptional technical writing skills for equipment specifications and reports.
- Experienced in vendor, client relations, and contractor management.
