About the role
The Maintenance Mechanic will be responsible for scheduled, unscheduled and preventative maintenance to inspect and repair the mechanical alignment of pumps & motors, troubleshoot, replace or rebuild positive displacement or centrifugal pumps, replace conveyor bearings, replace motors, repair screws, belt, pan and shaker conveyors, rebuild or change gearboxes, install and modify pipe lines, repack and repair valves and assist in the modification of plant equipment & systems.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

Effectively complete preventive and proactive maintenance per the schedule to prevent breakdowns on equipment.

Utilize root-cause analysis skills to investigate breakdown and line stoppages while collaborating with other departments.

Prioritizes work to ensure timely maintenance, repair and installation of equipment, tools and utility systems to minimize production downtime and completes all required paperwork and documentation in the company’s computerized maintenance documentation program.

Utilizes maintenance documentation program to open and close out work orders, check out spare parts, and other activities as required in the plant.

Repair or maintain the operating condition of industrial production or processing machinery or equipment including inspection, assembly, disassembly, and replacement as necessary.

Observe and test the operation of machinery or equipment to diagnose malfunctions utilizing mechanical devices.

Ensure equipment being repaired is tested acutely to minimize future equipment failures or downtime problems.

Review maintenance reports and statistics to plan and modify maintenance activities.

Inspects operating machines and equipment for conformance with operational and safety performance standards.

Examine objects, systems or facilities and analyze information to determine needed repairs.

Must be able to work Scheduled & Unscheduled Outage assignments, on-call and night shift coverage rotation throughout the year
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:

Ability to understand Operating and maintenance instructions and technical procedures, read and interpret Piping and Instrument Diagrams (P&IDs) and other procedure manuals.

Ability to speak and communicate effectively with supervisors and other employees.

Basic knowledge or experience in general rigging practices, experience with basic machine and hand tools.

Ability to perform small welding projects and knowledge in using a burning torch.

This is an hourly role. The expected annual earnings for this position is $71,312.00 - $89,165.50. This is a good-faith estimate of what we expect to pay for this position. The final hourly rate will take into account a variety of factors including experience, ability, and location. Reworld is committed to paying its staff equitably, and these ranges should not be considered career salary limits or caps.
