The Privacy Senior Analyst position will contribute to the creation and implementation of the American Honda Finance Corporation (AHFC) Data Privacy and Information Security Program (DAPIS), a risk-based Privacy-by- Design program designed to standardize business processes, procedures, and internal controls to ensure compliance with federal and state laws governing the treatment and security of sensitive and non-public personal consumer information by detecting, mitigating, and preventing, and ensuring all items supporting full compliance. Ultimately, this position is responsible for supporting the safe-guarding consumer privacy
- Assess, communicate, and remediate enterprise privacy risk to consumers
- Gain and maintain knowledge of federal, state laws and regulations concerning privacy protections and provide oversight, recommendations
- Utilize knowledge of regulatory, nationwide privacy environment as well as knowledge of AHFC business operations
- Create and maintain a thorough process to monitor privacy legislation and laws
- Execute company-wide projects concerning information data mapping
- Continue partnership with AHM audit to support privacy audits
Qualifications, Experience, and Skills
- Bachelor's degree required
- Minimum five to eight years or more in privacy in business or the financial services industry (such as consumer products/services industry experience with privacy regulatory, legal, or compliance experience, data protection standards, and program management)
- Satisfy special assignments as requested by management to identify, understand, or resolve issues
- Participate in audit and exam meetings and analyze documents and other materials during the privacy audits and exams
- Excellent writing skills
- Microsoft office applications such as Excel, PowerPoint, or other applications such as Vizio and Access
