Summary of Position:
Assist Pediatrician’s and PA, with administrative and clinical aspects of medical care for children by performing but not limited to the following duties.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Must be able to handle multiple tasks quickly and efficiently with constant interruptions.
- Must possess excellent organizational skills
- Must analyze situations quickly, objectively, and determine the proper course of action.
- CPR certified
- Perform job related duties as directed within the scope of practice
- Obtain patients medical history
- Prepare patient for examination
- Performs routine test and records patients’ vital signs.
- Performs all duties following OSHA guidelines
- Spirometry, injections, audiograms, eye exams.
- Phone in prescriptions
- Sterilizes supplies and equipment
- Maintains patient medical record file and performs clerical duties Instructs patient in follow-up care
- Use standardized pediatric telephone triage, advice and health education to the practice.
- Reports, lab results and retrieval of patient records
- Ensuring patient rights are upheld
- Ensures the limited use and disclosure of PHI to the “minimum necessary” to accomplish the intended purpose unless the disclosure is to another provider for the purpose of treatment.
- Participation in department and general staff meetings

- Adherence to policies and procedures as defined in the “Employee Handbook”
- Maintain communication between all members on the team at Coastal Pediatrics.
- Must interact effectively and professionally with patients and parents
Supervisory Relationship:
- Directly responsible to Physician owners and Practice Manager
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.50 - $20.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
