We are looking for a line cook at Harumama in Little Italy. The Asian fusion style menu features sushi, ramen, and steamed bao buns. The right person will have a friendly, outgoing disposition, be passionate about food and service, and thoroughly enjoy creating excellent experiences for our customers. RESPONSIBILITIES
- Prepare basic components of each dish on our menu using our recipes and following presentation specifications
- Ensure that the kitchen, all food prep areas and all food storage areas meet restaurant cleaning and sanitation standards
- Monitor product freshness and rotate out old product based on a schedule created by the restaurant
- Work with the team of cooks to do portion prep work for other shifts when needed
- Operate standard kitchen equipment safety and efficiently
- Assist with the cleaning and organization of kitchen and equipment
SKILLS
- Flexibility to work in shifts, including weekends, evenings and holidays
- Understanding of hygiene and food safety rules
- Physical ability and stamina to carry things and stand for long hours
- Ability to multitask and remain calm and professional in a fast-paced environment
