What you get to do:
Responsible for technical aspects of entertainment services and operations including staffing, budgeting, technical, show support, safety and related show & capital project coordination. Ensures success in all administrative aspects of entertainment service and operations including:

Ambassador hiring, training, development, scheduling, morale, retention, coaching and counseling

Leadership and coordination of various support areas and functions including all technical elements for all three Orlando Parks (audio/visual/effects)

Leadership and coordination of technical elements/programming for events/festivals
-
Development and management of operating expense and project budgets
-
Oversee and manage multiple productions and operations throughout the year (shows, special events, internal administrative projects), adhering to department production process guidelines
-
Oversee park audio/visual for all three Orlando parks (maintain and enhance)
-
Create project and operating scopes, timelines, facilitate bid meetings, provide job status updates and cost elements to internal and external partners
-
Coordinate and assist in production installation, maintenance, strike and storage requirements with internal and external vendors for show set elements, props, event décor, and signage
-
Assemble and direct design and operations teams on projects, budgets and meetings.

Collaborate with park departments on new productions

Ensure ambassadors and contractors are practicing safe work habits to include the use of personal protective equipment

Compile project books as reference source for Entertainment department

Continually review and help develop all show production elements to ensure the highest level of show quality

Communicate project strategy, timelines, goals and deadlines to required personnel in a time-sensitive manner

Bid and complete projects within cost and time allocations
-
Work with internal producers when new shows are developed by outside creative team; act as liaison between internal and external partners throughout the production process.

Work with management team on strategic and long-range planning

Convey and facilitate production standards to other departmental park employees as well as contract technicians
-
Supervise, develop and schedule technical and entertainment support staff.

Interface closely with production in product creative technical development, optimizing creative goals with technical efficiencies, leading technical integration and problem solving

Collaborates with Entertainment Event Production/Operations and Theming teams to achieve project goals and objectives.

Perform other duties as assigned
What it takes to succeed:-
At least 5 years of experience in a project management environment

Have prior experience/knowledge in technical theatre production.

Possession of a valid state driver’s license preferred
-
Working knowledge of the disciplines involved in Entertainment-based events and productions to include: production, design, technical and administrative elements
-
Knowledge of technical elements including but not limited to: lighting, audio, video, rigging, scenic and special effects; with a strong commitment to safety.

Ability to operate technical equipment, troubleshoot as necessary with excellent problem solving, and conflict resolution skills

Have the ability to create concepts, manage high level budgets and timelines for productions

Proven knowledge of installation/strike and maintenance of props, set pieces and décor
-
Demonstrated ability for strong decision-making and negotiation skills
- Have strong organization and time-management skills and be able to reinforce those skills among ambassadors/direct reports

Have the ability to inspire their team to deliver superior results while nurturing a positive working environment.

Demonstrate excellent oral and written communication skills, to include public speaking and ability to readily adjust for audience

Be able to maintain confidentiality regarding sensitive projects and issues

Have a High School diploma or equivalent

Be proficient with Microsoft Office suite

Be able to lift, push and pull up to 50 pounds
-
Be able to walk and stand for long periods of time in extreme weather conditions

Be available to work varying shifts or hours based on park hours; i.e. be able to work opening and closing shifts
What Else is Important:-
Bachelor’s Degree in Theater, Management or other related and relevant field preferred

Production and/or Special Event experience is preferred
