Performs a variety of receiving tasks. Verifies materials received are as ordered and routes incoming items to appropriate departments/locations. Leads the work of receiving personnel performing related work.
- Prepares orders for a receipt; determines the most economical and efficient method to stock, store, and transport internally; selects appropriate container or handling equipment; packs items to ensure safe delivery.
- Checks items to be received against a purchase, work orders, and packing slip to ascertain that quantities, destination, quality, and routing are correct.
- Receives and unloads incoming materials for accuracy of shipment; may process return shipments from customers.
- Sorts, counts, packages, labels, insures, unpacks, and/or logs inventory which is inputted into the receiving/ MRP system.
- Inspects shipments for damages or defects; records discrepancies or damages and notifies supervisor and/or purchasing personnel.
- May maintain department database, prepare routine reports, and file receiving records.
- Will operate dolly, pallet jack, and/or forklift in loading and unloading supplies and equipment; may operate shrink wrap machine or manual hand wrap; may operate company vehicle to deliver shipments; may assist in routine maintenance of equipment and area; may lock warehouse and set alarms if needed.
- Follows established departmental policies, procedures, continuous quality improvement objectives, and safety, environmental, and/or infection control standards.
- Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
- 8-10 hours of work available every shift (time and a half after first 8 hours).

Required Skills
- ● 3+ years of experience in a warehouse or similar setting.
- ● Ability to lift heavy items (up to 50 pounds) on a regular basis.
- ● Experience using pallet jacks, forklifts, and other warehouse equipment.
- ● Attention to detail and ability to accurately count and label items.
- ● Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- ● Ability to work well as part of a team and communicate effectively with others.
- ● Understanding of safety procedures and guidelines for operating equipment and moving heavy items.
- ● Familiarity with inventory management software is a plus.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $16.00 - $17.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 – 50 per week
