Responsibilities:
- Conduct quality inspections of products to ensure they meet company standards and comply with FDA regulations
- Use various measuring tools such as micrometers, calipers, and coordinate measuring machines to perform accurate measurements
- Analyze data and test results to identify any deviations or non-conformities
- Collaborate with production teams to address quality issues and implement corrective actions
- Perform quality audits to assess compliance with quality assurance procedures
- Maintain accurate documentation of inspection results and quality records
- Make proactive recommendations and offer/present solutions to the Operations department (production, warehouse & field sales) to improve quality and work efficiency.
Skills:
- Strong knowledge of quality assurance principles and practices
- Familiarity with HACCP (Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point) guidelines
- Proficiency in using measuring tools such as micrometers, calipers, and coordinate measuring machines
- Ability to analyze data and interpret test results
- Attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively
- Bachelor’s degree of science preferably in Food Science or Food Technology or related field (Meat Science, Biology, Microbiology, Food Microbiology, etc.)
- HACCP Certification, Allergen Control Training, Food Recall Training and/or Preventive Controls Qualified Individual Certification is a plus.
- At least two (2) years of work experience as a quality assurance technician in fresh food or beverage.
- At least two (2) years of GFSI (BRC, SQF and FS2000) experience.
- A good knowledge of current Good Manufacturing Practices and food safety.
Schedule: May Vary
AM shift - 3:00am to 12:00pm
Mid shift - 11:00am to 8:00pm
