Overview:
The Heavy Equipment Mechanic must inspect, service, and maintain our range of heavy-duty construction equipment. This mechanic is responsible for driving to various job sites across our regional territories to inspect engines and equipment, carry out service, conduct repairs, and provide routine maintenance to the construction fleet.

Daily Duties:
- Adjusting equipment and replacing faulty parts.
- Repairing damaged equipment parts.
- Diagnosing Faults using computerized testing equipment.
- Cleaning, lubricating, and conducting routine service on heavy-duty vehicles.
- Performing major repair work when necessary
- Reporting damaged or faulty equipment to management.
- Comply with OSHA safety laws and regulations.
Position Requirements:
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Certification as a Heavy Equipment Mechanic, or relevant experience.
- Proven work experience as a diesel or heavy equipment mechanic.
- Understanding of computer testing technology.
- Extensive knowledge of diesel engines and construction equipment.
- Ability to work after-hours/nights/weekends if required.
- Good communication skills.
- Attention to detail and advanced organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently, as well as within a cross-functional team environment.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to solve practical problems, make logical decisions, and communicate ideas.
