Position Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and empathetic Admissions Counselor to join our team in Denver, Colorado. The Admissions Counselor will play a crucial role in the intake process, providing prospective clients with the information and support they need to begin their treatment journey. This position requires excellent communication skills, a deep understanding of the treatment process, and a compassionate approach to helping individuals and families navigate their options.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as the first point of contact for prospective clients and their families, providing information about our treatment programs and services.
- Conduct thorough intake assessments to determine the appropriate level of care for each client.
- Coordinate admissions processes, including scheduling assessments, verifying insurance benefits, and gathering necessary documentation.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all client interactions and admissions activities in compliance with HIPAA and other regulatory standards.
- Collaborate with clinical and administrative staff to ensure a seamless transition for clients entering treatment.
- Provide support and guidance to clients and their families throughout the admissions process, addressing any questions or concerns they may have.
- Participate in community outreach and marketing efforts to promote the treatment center's services.
- Stay informed about industry trends, insurance regulations, and best practices in admissions and treatment.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in psychology, social work, counseling, or a related field. Master’s degree preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in admissions, intake, or a related role within a healthcare or treatment setting.
- Knowledge of various levels of care in substance use and mental health treatment, including detox, residential, partial hospitalization, intensive outpatient, and outpatient programs.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients and families.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with electronic health record (EHR) systems.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.

Pay: $55,724.00 - $60,000.00 per year
