Position Overview:
As a Sales Engineer at Elite, you will be the initial customer point of contact and use your technical knowledge along with sales skills to consult with clients on compliance advice covering a wide range of test and new product validation. You will interact and contact technical and supply chain personnel from companies in the following industries: Automotive, military, commercial aviation, consumer and industrial products, telecom, and medical.
Key Responsibilities:
- Receive and respond to customer inquiries by phone, email, and website for Elite's test and engineering services.
- Advise clients on applicable regulations, standards, test methods, and testing processes.
- Prepare proposals for services and negotiate conditions to meet both client and company needs.
- Identify opportunities for new clients who might benefit from company products or services.
- Develop long-term relationships with clients through consistent sales and application assistance and present how Elite's service best satisfies their needs in terms of quality, delivery, and price.
- Support marketing activities by attending trade shows, conferences, and other marketing events.
- Make technical presentations and sales presentations on how Elite services meet client needs.
- Produce support material for marketing projects.
Skills and Attributes:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Self-starter, ability to learn quickly, and a desire to effectively work with and build relationships with internal and external stakeholders and customers
- Ability and skilled in consistently providing a high level of customer service
- Advanced knowledge of MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree or Associate Degree in Engineering, Electrical or Computer Technology
- Some previous experience is a plus however, we are willing to train!
