JOB SUMMARY:
The Records Technician will assist in the process of incoming documents and materials for the organization. This position will sort, classify and code documents for integration into storage areas by scanning items received, maintaining logs and indexes to indicate document status, and enable accurate retrieval.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES:
To perform this job, an individual must accomplish each essential function satisfactorily, with or without a reasonable accommodation.
- Organize, audit and scan employee files into UKG.
- Review, analyze, organize and catalog boxes of documents according to the organization’s approved retention schedule.
- Review documentation for completeness and accuracy according to specified standards. Refer incomplete documents to supervisor for corrective action.
- Prepare documents for scanning by organizing, removing staples, taping holes, etc.
- Operate and maintain imaging equipment to create high-quality images.
- Scan and/or bookmark documents according to established procedures.
- Enter descriptive and required metadata into Records Management Program.
- Retrieve stored and/or scanned documents when requested.
- Manage physical boxes; organize on pallets for storage or destruction as appropriate.
- Work as a team of 2 to safely operate commercial shredder as needed.
- Follow company Legal Hold Policy.
- Participate in performance improvement activities such as Relias training, as requested.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- Maintain confidentiality of all records
- Proficient computer skills including working knowledge of common software programs and demonstrated competency in proofreading
- Successful completion of required training
- Handle multiple priorities effectively
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
o High school diploma or equivalent required
o 2-4 years’ related experience
o Advanced experience with software programs
