Job Description:
The Home Health Aide (HHA) Instructor will instruct students based on a curriculum designed to assist them in developing knowledge and clinical skills necessary to the Department of Health requirements. The educator must be able to communicate effectively with students from a variety of socioeconomic and educational backgrounds.
Specific Position Responsibilities:
- Organizes classroom supplies and coordinates lab equipment upkeep.
- Assists in the performance of any related duties as assigned.
- Responsible for delivering the curriculum based on the skill set as mandated and outlined by the BPSS.
- Supervised the students during clinical training rotations.
- Present all classroom lectures and prepare students for HHA workforce.
- Develop an educational plan in accordance with the results of the needs assessment and implements the plan by the specified date/deadline.
- Coordinating and presenting lessons as needed, as well as maintaining an evaluation and tracking student performance periodically.
- Collaborates with administrative and clinical staff to ascertain the educational needs of each student.
- Responds to reported problems/complaints in a timely manner and investigates the process in accordance with school policy and procedure.
- Collaborates with school staff and internship staff in creating and monitoring student education programs to ensure compliance.
Job Qualifications:
- Candidate must hold a Registered Nurse License in the state of New York
- This position requires at least two years of related work experience in Home Care.
- Must be knowledgeable in simple nursing procedures.
- Must have good communication and interpersonal skills.
- HHA BPSS Teacher license preferred.

Pay: $40.00 - $55.00 per hour
