Tuscan Brands is seeking dynamic, entrepreneurial, forward-thinking, Sommelier or Beverage Focused Restaurant Manager who wants to further their career and be a part of a growing hospitality company. A background and focus in Beverage Management is required for this role, including a strong knowledge in wine (Italian especially), beer, and cocktails.
Tuscan Kitchen in Seaport is seeking a Beverage Focused Restaurant Manager who will be responsible for the management of all aspects of the business, with a focus on overseeing and maintaining excellence of the beverage program. They will provide guidance and recommendations to both our staff and guests to create an exceptional dining experience.
As a hands-on member of the Management team, this person will ensure all aspects of the restaurant are running smoothly and efficiently to deliver genuine hospitality. Directing, implementing, and maintaining a service and management philosophy which serves as a guide to respective staff. In addition to daily responsibilities outlined under essential duties and responsibilities, the Sommelier or Beverage Focused Restaurant Manager will assist the restaurant in all disciplines of hiring staff, training initiatives, updating menus, and maintaining budgeted expenses established by Tuscan Brands while also ensuring an efficient operational flow from the front of house. They will promote the Brand by adhering to our standards of quality assurance and guest service. The Restaurant Manager must serve as an exemplary figure to coworkers and represent the organization within the framework of its core values.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
· Make customer service, care, and satisfaction the priority in every interaction with guests, be able to resolve complaints quickly and efficiently.
· A strong knowledge of and background in creating and crafting cocktails as well as running a beverage program.
· Superior knowledge of international wines, with in depth knowledge of Italian wines is neccessary.
· 2-3 years beverage management experience
· 3-5 years experience in restaurant or hospitality environment
· CMS Sommelier certification is a plus
· Supporting the GM in the direction and planning of the day-to-day operations.
· Leads and directs the work of other staff members.
· Operational Management, including organizing stock and equipment, ordering of products, and maintaining proper inventory levels; overseeing building and equipment maintenance, cleanliness, and security.
· May be asked to assist in the financial Management, including planning and working to budgets, maximizing profits, and achieving sales targets, following cash control/security procedures, managing labor, P-Mix, and inventory costs, reviewing financial reports and taking appropriate actions, controlling takings in the restaurant and deposits.
· Relies on extensive experience and judgement to plan and accomplish goals.
· Human Resources Management, including recruit, interview and hire new employees, training and developing employees, motivating, and encouraging employees to achieve targets, conduct performance appraisals, take disciplinary action, staff scheduling, employee relations, processing time sheets.
· Ensures all products and displays are handled effectively to maximize sales and profitability.

· Assist the GM in payroll processing related matters to ensure it is processed timely and accurately.
· Assist in the implementation and use of all procedures set forth by Tuscan Brands.
· Handle opening and closing procedures.
· Maintain detailed knowledge of menu items, ingredients, and preparation method.
· Maintain detailed knowledge of all liquor brands, wine | champagnes and their characteristics, beer, and non-alcoholic beverages.
· Assure company policies, procedures, guidelines, and standards are adhered to.
· Maintain the highest standards of local health and safety codes, OSHA, and company safety and security policy.
· Respond to guest requests courteously and appropriately.
· Handle and resolve customer complaints in accordance with Tuscan Brands policies.
· Prepare reports and other performance analysis documentation.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS.
· High School diploma or equivalent or vocational training certificate; college preferred.
· Completed training in alcohol service in current standing including NH Liquor Commission Mgmt. Seminar
· CPR and First Aid Certification in current standing
· Proficient in Microsoft Office, Point of Sale, and restaurant management software with ability to compute basic arithmetic.
· Ability to coach, train and motivate staff.
· Ability to work flexible hours.
