Laine Federal is seeking a Controller to join our team based in Atlanta, GA!
In this role, you will be instrumental in managing and overseeing all aspects of our financial operations, including accounts receivable, accounts payable, and payroll. You will be expected to conduct detailed financial reconciliations and manage balance sheets and profit/loss statements. This role is well-suited to individuals with a strong background in accounting, finance, or similar fields.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee accounts receivable and accounts payable operations
- Conduct weekly in-house payroll processing
- Perform monthly reconciliations of financial accounts
- Manage and maintain balance sheets and profit/loss statements, resolving any discrepancies
- Prepare and submit quarterly tax reports to CEO
- Carry out job costing procedures
- Work with banking partners to prepare funding packages
- Issue Year End W2’s and 1099’s
- Prepare year-end financials and submit them to CPA for taxes
- Maintain office supplies and equipment
- Perform all other general office duties and tasks assigned.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a Controller role or similar position
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field
- Professional certification (e.g., CPA) is a plus
- Proficiency in Accounting Functions
- Experience in managing Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)
- Knowledge and experience in Auditing procedures
- Familiarity with Budget Processes and ability to manage them
- Proficiency in QuickBooks Online software
- Proficiency in ADP Software
- Experience in Processing Payroll and ability to manage it
- Ability to prepare Financial Statements
- Experience in Job Costing and ability to manage it
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently, manage large amounts of data, and meet deadlines
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
