Job Summary:
Puyallup Nursing and Rehabilitation is seeking an experienced Maintenance Director to join our leadership team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the maintenance operations of our facility, ensuring that all equipment and systems are properly maintained, and that maintenance activities are performed in a safe and efficient manner. This position requires a strong background in industrial maintenance, project management, construction trades, mechanical systems knowledge, with the ability to manage a team and coordinate with other departments. Coordination and scheduling outside vendors, detailed record keeping, and organization skills are a priority. Experience in healthcare facility maintenance as well as understanding the various State and Federal Survey requirements in this industry are beneficial.
Upon hire, the candidate will transition into the Maintenance Director position over several months under the supervision of the current Director who will be retiring. Thorough orientation into all compliance areas, and training on complex building systems will be provided during the transition period.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee the maintenance activities of our facility, including scheduling and coordinating maintenance tasks, and ensuring that all maintenance activities are completed in a timely and cost-effective manner.
- Develop and implement maintenance strategies and procedures to ensure the reliability and efficiency of all equipment and systems.
- Conduct regular inspections of equipment and systems to identify potential issues and recommend corrective actions.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as replacing filters and checking fluid levels.
- Troubleshoot and repair equipment and systems, including HVAC systems and electrical systems.
- Develop and manage maintenance budgets and schedules.
- Coordinate with other departments to ensure that maintenance activities align with business objectives and clinical services.
- Ensure that all maintenance activities are performed in compliance with safety regulations and industry standards.
-Manage the preventative maintenance program to reduce downtime and extend the life of equipment and systems.
- Collaborate with management to identify and implement cost-saving measures and improve maintenance processes.
- Develop and maintain documentation of maintenance activities, including maintenance records and repair reports.
Experience:
- At least 5 years of experience in industrial maintenance, with a focus on maintenance management.
- Proven experience in project management, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Experience with HVAC systems and electrical systems.
- Experience with industrial maintenance software and computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS).
- Experience with maintenance management, including budgeting and scheduling.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
- Physical ability to perform maintenance tasks, such as climbing ladders and lifting heavy objects.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $28.00 - $31.00 per hour
