What the Warehouse Associate can anticipate on a daily basis:
- Offload inbound containers.
- Check all paperwork and Bill of Ladings for proper shipping information, check for damages, and store each product in its proper warehouse location.
- Load outbound trucks and containers for next-day deliveries.
- Create, change, or correct any labels as needed.
- Operate forklift.
- Loading and unloading of trailers. Assist with all organizational activities on site as needed.
- Stack/load pallets and material by operating various types of material handling equipment (e.g., forklift, electric pallet jack).
- Maintain inventory counts, and keep inventory organized for accurate quantities and supplies.
- Maintain a safe work environment/ Participate in spill response as needed.
- Perform other duties and tasks as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Minimum of a High school diploma/GED required.
- Additional training or secondary school preferred.
- 5 years Distribution warehouse experience.
- 3 years of forklift experience required.
- Ability to demonstrate experience with a sit-down forklift.
- performing basic math skills.
- Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both verbal and written.
- Excellent English written and verbal communication skills required.
- Regular and reliable attendance.
- This is a high physical job, with lifting up to 50 lbs., ability to move or handle boxes, bags, drums, and totes as well as assemble and disassemble large pieces of equipment and tanks. All functions may occur on a daily basis.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 - $23.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
