Lakehead Constructors, Inc. is seeking an experienced Marketing Coordinator to support the development and execution of the company’s marketing strategies. The position will provide administrative and marketing support for business development efforts with responsibilities that include creating high quality marketing materials, proposals and presentations, company events, graphic design, advertising, collecting client and project data, research, and overall branding and positioning. The Marketing Coordinator reports to the Vice President – Business Development.
Required skills include, but are not limited to:
- Develop and maintain marketing materials including firm overview, project sheets, resumes and other standard materials used for proposals
- Write, design, and assemble marketing collateral pieces supporting business development and company activities that include presentations, brochures, magazine, newsletter articles and special event materials
- Submit company Pre-Qualifications and other Statement of Qualifications (SOQ’s)
- Develop and post content on website and social media sites - maintain social media calendar.
- Coordinate photography, maintain photo library, videos of projects, progress photos, employees and events for social media and marketing pieces.
- Facilitate graphic design, preparation and placement of advertisements.
- Manage company apparel program and promotional items by monitoring stock levels and ordering new merchandise.
- Assist with client presentations, tradeshows, conferences and company events.
- General marketing support through various administrative and/or clerical tasks, such as submitting sponsorships, event registrations, donation requests and maintaining marketing’s mailing lists.
- Other projects or duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications, Education, Experience, Skills and Abilities:
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, graphic design, journalism, or any combination of education and professional experience that would meet the responsibilities listed above.
- Minimum of two years of experience in marketing, graphic design, or communications.
- Experience in the construction, engineering, or architectural industry is preferred.
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suites, Illustrator, Photoshop, Adobe Express, Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
- Excellent organizational and multi-tasking skills, with the ability to be flexible within a deadline-driven environment.
- Strong business writing, proofreading and editing skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and works well in collaborative environments.
- Photography and WordPress experience is desired, but not required.
- Knowledge of and experience working with social media platforms (LinkedIn, Facebook).
