- Must Speak Fluent Spanish
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word
- Responsible for entering all expenditure invoices, issuance of checks, packaging of expenditure invoices for mail, scanning and electronic filing.
- Responsible to speak with tenants and assist in understanding rent balances and/or originating work orders and tracking the scheduling of service repairs
- Responsible to issue new lease renewals monthly and tracking all lease renewals due back for processing
- Responsible for understanding and interpreting the accounting for rent ledgers (rent charges & payment receipts) to be able to discuss balances as needed with tenants
- Assists in preparation and packaging of monthly tenant rental invoices
- Assists in accounts receivable for rent payments
- Assists in the preparation of rental demand notices
- Assists in tracking tenant legal/eviction process
- Assists in the preparation of new leases for vacant units
- Assists in processing recertifications and lease renewals for Subsidies such as Section 8
- Assists with maintaining parking rent ledgers for tenants
- Navigate the property management software to run pertinent reports and understand how to read tenant rent ledgers
- Assists in managing the office calendar and key events for principals of the company
- Responsible for maintaining organized office files both physical and electronic, apartment keys and the overall office organization
- Responsible for scanning all necessary documents as instructed by the Property Manager and filing electronically
- Responsible to view all surveillance cameras weekly throughout portfolio
- Promotes and maintains positive relations with tenants and any issues/complaints they may have
- Perform special projects assocated with various analysis work, DHCR Registrations and Surveys
- Performs other duties as assigned by Principals of the company
- The position is Monday-Friday but will need to work two Saturdays per month.
Job Requirements:
- Associates degree or advanced
- 1-3 years property management or accounting/bookkeeping experience
- Software/ Hardware: Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word & Excel) is required
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
