AUDIT & ASSURANCE SENIOR MANAGER ACCOUNTANT POSITION SUMMARY:
The Audit & Assurance Senior Manager is responsible for managing client relationships and supervising audit and assurance teams and engagements as well as being flexible to support other Firm service lines on an as needed basis.
Essential Job Functions:
- Serve as a primary client contact, ensuring organizational effectiveness and seamless communication.
- Strategically identify and manage staffing and resources to meet and exceed client needs.
- Identify and leverage cross-Practice Line opportunities for current and future engagements.
- Exceed client expectations by effectively managing their needs and delivering exceptional results.
- Oversee and optimize work in progress (WIP) to maintain project momentum.
- Cultivate and maintain positive relationships with clients.
- Actively engage in business development with both new and existing clients, identifying opportunities for growth.
- Proactively seek out and participate in business development opportunities.
- Communicate performance outcomes clearly to clients and internal team members.
- Resolve conflicts with team members and clients swiftly and effectively.
- Manage the change process throughout engagements and projects, ensuring smooth transitions.
- Mentor and coach team members, fostering professional growth and performance management.
- Monitor and assess team member performance, providing constructive feedback to enhance skills.
- Take ownership of engagement profitability, including efficient billing and collections.
- Provide team members with timely, accurate, and constructive performance feedback.
- Identify resource needs for engagements and projects, assigning qualified staff members appropriately.
- Adhere to and enforce Firm policies and procedures, including time entry, billing and collections, technology use, service methodologies, and human resources.
- Actively participate in Firm committees and activities, contributing to overall success.
- Champion the Firm's reputation positively within the community and through professional organization involvement.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field
- 7+ years of public accounting or equivalent industry experience
- 3+ years of management experience
- CPA certification in good standing
- Advanced computer literacy, including proficient use of all Microsoft Office products
- Valid driver’s license and safe driving record
- Proven leadership qualities in managing others, includes both internal team-members and external client relationships
- Demonstrate excellence in client relationship management and collaboration within a team setting
- Proven interpersonal skills to work effectively with both internal and external team members, and build and maintain external client relationships
- Open to constant learning and training from other team members due to the ongoing diversity of client engagements
- Demonstrated client relationship management as well as collaboratively within a team setting

- Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills
- Skills with investigating and analyzing source materials
