Summary:
We are partnered with a top Houston contractor that is searching for a motivated Superintendent to oversee and coordinate street and road construction projects. They are looking for someone with at least 3 years of experience as a Superintendent and are ready to learn more. The successful candidate will ensure that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of multiple crews at once, crew scopes can include excavation, grading, paving, underground utilities, etc.
- Ensure that all operations are conducted safely, efficiently, and in compliance with project specifications and quality standards.
- Plan and schedule tasks, allocate resources, and manage equipment and materials to optimize productivity.
- Monitor project progress, identify potential issues, and implement corrective actions to keep the project on track.
- Conduct regular site inspections to ensure the quality of work and adherence to safety protocols.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless project execution.
- Train and mentor crew members, fostering a culture of safety, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
- Prepare and maintain accurate records, including daily reports, timesheets, and material usage logs.
- Communicate effectively with clients, addressing any concerns and providing project updates as needed.
- Assist in the preparation of project estimates, budgets, and schedules.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent is required; additional technical education or certifications in construction management or a related field is preferred.
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in construction field work, with at least 3 years in a supervisory or superintendent role.
- Extensive knowledge of techniques, materials, and equipment used in street and road construction.
- Strong understanding of construction plans, specifications, and safety regulations.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Proficient in using construction management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to work in various weather conditions and adapt to a flexible schedule, including weekends if necessary.

Pay: $100,000.00 - $130,000.00 per year
