WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING...
Mechanics
Level 2 Technician position includes, all basic skills described in “Level 1”, as well as a demonstrated proficiency in the following;
- Basic welding techniques, example; stick, mig , tig, and soldering etc.
- Basic fabrication skills using stainless steel, (welding, cutting, grinding etc).
- Demonstrated basic electrical skills in 480 v. 3Æ a.c. power, consisting of the following;
- Proper use of analog or digital meter.
- Demonstrated ability to accurately diagnose a failed motor.
- Demonstrated ability to re-place and correctly connect a 3 phase / 9 wire motor without supervision, (includes proper motor shaft / coupling alignment).
- Demonstrated ability to diagnose basic 110 v.a.c. control circuits, example; start / stop circuits, E-stops, limit switches etc.
- Safely diagnose and replace single, and three phase fuses.
- Ability to replace mechanical seals and bearings in a variety of centrifugal pumps.
- Basic knowledge of air compressors, and compressed air systems and dryers.
- Familiarity with vacuum pumps.
- Basic knowledge of hydraulic systems, components and controls.
- Ability to correctly diagnose, repair or replace gear drives / gear motor assemblies.
Mechanics
Level 3 Technician position includes, all basic skills described in “Level 1 & level 2”, as well as a demonstrated proficiency in the following.
- T.I.G. welding and purge (sanitary) welding of stainless-steel piping, and polished surfaces.
- Advanced trouble shooting and diagnostic ability.
- Good working knowledge of A/C drives, (VFD’s,).
- Demonstrated diagnostic, and practical electrical skills.
- P.L.C. technology, touch screen, programmable set-points etc.
- Control systems, 24 vdc, and electronics expertise.
- Ability to read and follow electrical schematic dwgs. including American and European.
WHAT YOU'LL BRING TO THE TEAM...
Specialized training and skills
All specialized training and advanced technical skills will be given special consideration in evaluating technicians.
The following items represent areas of advanced skills.
- Advanced Forming technology, training.
- High speed packaging equipment Ishida scales / Bosch bagger.
- Ammonia refrigeration operator / controls / safety / PSM.
- Wolfking tumblers / blenders.
- H.V.A.C. (building ventilation).
- Ink-jet printers.
- Formal training in electrical controls / electronics.
- PLC programming
- Robotics
- Root cause techniques
- Ability to train and lead.
- A working understanding of burner technology, char-markers, ovens, fryer, boiler, air make-up units etc.
- Training and teaching of less experienced technicians is also a specialized skill, and should be viewed as one our best resources, we learn best “firsthand”.
THE ENVIRONMENT YOU CAN EXPECT...
- You will be working in a poultry manufacturing facility.
- You’ll need to be able to walk, twist and bend.
- Picking up and carrying 50lbs to job site.
