Position Overview: We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate middle level practitioner to join our quickly expanding practice. You will finish the training in the Johns Creek office and will mainly work at the Lilburn office. This role involves collaborating with our neurology team to diagnose, treat, and manage neurological and chronic pain conditions in outpatient settings. The salary posted is for candidates with neurology and/or pain clinic experience. We will consider candidates without related work experience if the salary requirement is negotiable.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments, diagnose neurological conditions, and develop patient care plans.
- Documents the delivery of care in the individual's medical records in time. Orders, schedules and/or performs laboratory tests and diagnostic procedures. Prescribes medication and manage treatment regimens for patients with neurological and pain disorders.
- Under the direction of a physician, performs physical examinations and specialized diagnostic and/or therapeutic procedures including EEG, EMG/NCS, trigger point injection and Joints injection, etc.
- Provide education and support to patients and their families.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members to ensure the highest quality of care.
- Participate in continuous education, research, and quality improvement initiatives.
Qualifications:
- Completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program or Physician Assistant program.
- Currently licensed as an advanced practice nurse in the state of Georgia by the Georgia Board of Nursing and certified as a Nurse Practitioner by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) or equivalent body, or Certified as a Physician's Assistant by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA).
- Licensed as appropriate in the state of Georgia.
- Certification as a Nurse Practitioner with a specialization in neurology preferred.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in neurology or a related field preferred.
- Excellent diagnostic and clinical skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a patient-centered approach to care.
- Bilingual (fluent either in Vietnamese, Spanish or Korean etc.) is preferred but not obligated.
