POSITION SUMMARY*
The Senior Accountant will assist with the organization’s accounting and reporting operations, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency in financial reporting and accounting practices. This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively with other departments to support financial planning and decision-making.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES*
To be performed in accordance with RFHN Policies and Procedures
Financial Reporting**
- Prepares and reviews monthly, quarterly, and annual schedules required to prepare financial statements.
- Ensures timely and accurate closing of financial records and reports.
- Maintains general ledger accounts and manages reconciliation of accounts.
Compliance and Auditing**
- Ensures compliance with GAAP, regulatory requirements, and internal policies.
- Coordinates and supports external audits, including preparation of audit schedules and responding to auditor inquiries.
- Monitors and enforces compliance with established internal control policies and procedures.
Budgeting and Forecasting
- Assists in the development of the annual budget and financial forecasts.
- Analyzes financial data to identify trends, variances, and areas for improvement.
- Provides insights and recommendations to management based on financial analysis.
Accounts Management
- Oversees accounts payable and receivable functions to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
- Manages fixed assets and depreciation schedules.
- Handles cash and cash equivalents accounts and reconciliations.
Team Leadership and Development
- Provides guidance and support to junior accounting staff.
- Conducts training sessions to improve accounting skills and knowledge.
- Fosters a collaborative and productive work environment.

Process Improvement*
- Identifies and implements process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
- Utilizes accounting software and tools to streamline accounting processes.
- Stays updated with accounting standards, industry trends, and best practices to continually improve accounting operations.
Special Projects
- Participates in special projects and ad-hoc financial analyses as required.
- Supports strategic initiatives and business development activities.
- Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Up to date with COVID-19 vaccines per current CDC guidelines.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance; CPA or CMA certification preferred.
- Minimum of 5-7 years of progressive accounting experience is required.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting standards.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization.
- Proven ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Experience with budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
- Public accounting experience is a plus.

The salary range for this position is $90,000 to $110,000 annually. However, the final base salary will be determined upon a number of individualized factors such as (but not limited to) the scope and responsibilities of the position, job-related knowledge, skills, experience, education and certification levels, and departmental budget. We also consider internal equity with our current employees when making final offers.
