Job Summary
The Controller is a critical leadership role responsible for managing the financial operations of the organization. This position involves overseeing the preparation of financial reports, managing the monthly close process, driving process improvements, collaborating with practices to identify growth opportunities, facilitating the transition to a new accounting system, managing treasury and cash, and identifying opportunities to grow the business through financial analytics.

Essential Functions
Preparation and Analysis of Financial Reports:
- Lead the preparation and analysis of financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements, demonstrating a deep understanding of these financial statements.
- Ensure accuracy and timely delivery of financial reports, providing insights to guide decision-making based on a comprehensive interpretation of financial data.
Managing Monthly Close and Stakeholder Engagement:
- Manage the monthly close process and calendar, coordinating with key stakeholders to ensure an efficient and accurate financial closing.
- Engage with key stakeholders to align on timelines, deliverables, and facilitate a collaborative approach to the monthly close process.
Process Improvement, Business Growth, and Practice Collaboration:
- Collaborate with various practices to identify and implement process improvement initiatives, optimizing financial processes and operational efficiency, with particular focus on audit support and compliance.
- Identify opportunities to grow the business through financial analytics and engage with leaders in the organization to drive the business forward.
Treasury and Cash Management:
- Oversee treasury functions, managing cash flow, optimizing working capital, and ensuring efficient utilization of financial resources, while ensuring alignment with audit requirements.
Support and Resources:
- Appropriate external resources will be made available to assist with initiatives and change management, ensuring that the Controller has the necessary support to drive strategic initiatives and financial operations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Masters degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or CMA certification preferred.
- Proven experience in a senior financial role with a track record of driving process improvements, managing financial operations, and transitioning to new accounting systems.
- In-depth knowledge of financial principles, regulations, and standards.
- Strong leadership, communication, and analytical skills.
- Proficiency in financial management software and advanced Excel skills.
- Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in financial management.
- Background in orthopedics or healthcare is strongly preferred.
- Familiarity with the acquisitions process is a plus.
- Prior work with private equity-backed companies is strongly preferred.
- Must operate well in a team environment as well as perform job duties with little supervision
- Must be a creative, high-energy, hands-on professional who can successfully multitask in a
fast-paced environment, while handling sensitive information and maintaining complete confidentiality
