The Piano Preparatory School is hiring a Front Desk receptionist to perform a variety of customer service and clerical tasks. The Piano Prep School has served the Dayton community for 19 years, offering private and group music instruction. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for new families and an important representative for our school.
HOURS
This is a part-time, hourly position that requires afternoon/evening availability Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, or at least 2 of those days. Scheduling is consistent week-to-week and may include as few as 12 hrs and up to 15 hrs/weekly.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Welcoming guests; answering phone calls and providing general information about services offered
- Assisting with student registration and tuition payments
- Processing music/merchandise sale transactions using POS system and credit card terminal
- Providing clerical support to administrative and teaching staff
- Ensuring lobby and public spaces are clean and professional looking
- Contributing to our team atmosphere by ensuring smooth day-to-day operations
REQUIREMENTS
- High School diploma
- Proven work experience, preferably in an office or customer service role
- Outstanding communication and customer service skills
- Ability to be both resourceful and proactive; organizational skills
- Professional attitude and appearance
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and online platforms
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $15.00 - $18.00 per hour
Expected hours: 12 – 15 per week
