Job Description:
As a Senior Tax Manager at StenTam, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing client relations, review and signing tax returns and managing a team of jr. and experienced staff. A Sr. Tax Manager will succeed with 10-15 years of review experience and somebody highly proficient in CCH (ProSystems PFX ) software. Must be a CPA to be eligible.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage client relationships for a book of business already well established.
- Review and sign-off on complex tax returns for individuals, corporations, partnerships, and other entities, ensuring compliance with all applicable tax laws and regulations.
- Provide tax planning and consulting services to clients, identifying opportunities for tax savings and efficiencies.
- Supervise and mentor tax staff, providing guidance and support to ensure the timely and accurate completion of tax returns.
- Research and interpret tax laws and regulations to stay current on changes that may impact clients and the firm.
- Utilize CCH software to streamline the tax preparation process and optimize efficiency.
- Assist with tax audits and inquiries, representing clients before tax authorities as needed.
- Collaborate with other departments within the firm, such as accounting and finance, to provide comprehensive tax solutions to clients.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field; CPA is required.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in tax preparation and compliance, with a focus on complex individual and business tax returns.
- Proficiency in CCH tax software and other relevant tax preparation tools.
- Strong understanding of federal, state, and local tax laws and regulations.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to research and interpret complex tax issues.
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy, with a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to interact professionally with clients and colleagues.
- Leadership and team management experience, with a track record of mentoring and developing staff.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
