Job Description:
We are currently seeking a motivated and experienced Nursing Supervisor to join our team. The Nursing Supervisor/Nurse Manager will play a key role in ensuring the delivery of high-quality pediatric and adolescent healthcare services while providing leadership and support to our nursing staff. The ideal candidate will be a registered nurse (RN) or licensed practical nurse (LPN) with clinical expertise in pediatric nursing and a passion for promoting the health and wellness of children and adolescents.
Responsibilities:
- Supervision and Leadership: Provide leadership, guidance, and support to nursing staff, including registered nurses, licensed practical nurses, and medical assistants.
- Patient Care: Oversee the delivery of nursing care to pediatric and adolescent patients in accordance with established standards of practice and clinical protocols. Monitor patient status, assess nursing care plans, and collaborate with healthcare providers to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Staffing and Scheduling: Coordinate staffing assignments to meet patient care needs and maintain appropriate nurse-to-patient ratios. Develop and maintain nursing schedules, including coverage for vacations, holidays, and sick leave.
- Training and Development: Provide orientation, training, and ongoing education to nursing staff on pediatric-specific clinical practices, procedures, and protocols. Identify learning needs and opportunities for skills enhancement among team members.
- Quality Assurance: Monitor and evaluate nursing care delivery to identify opportunities for improvement. Implement quality assurance initiatives, conduct audits, and participate in performance improvement activities to enhance patient safety and satisfaction.
- Communication: Serve as a liaison between nursing staff, physicians, other healthcare providers, and administrative personnel. Facilitate communication and collaboration to promote continuity of care and effective interdisciplinary teamwork.
Qualifications:
- Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) with current, unrestricted licensure in Georgia
- Minimum of 3 years Private Practice Nursing experience, with a focus on Pediatrics and Adolescent Medicine.
- Demonstrated leadership and supervisory experience in a healthcare setting.
- Strong Knowledge in Electronic Medical Records (EMR), Vertebral Column Resection (VCR) and GRITS.
- Knowledge of pediatric nursing practices, procedures, and protocols.
- BLS certification required; additional certifications such as PALS or CPN preferred.
