Journeyman - Die Repair

To help us drive excellence, you’ll get to:
- Verify dimensions, alignments, and clearances of finished parts for conformance to specifications, using measuring instruments such as calipers, gauge blocks, micrometers, or dial indicators
- Study blueprints, sketches, models, or specifications to plan sequences of operations for fabricating tools, dies, or assemblies/
- Set up and operate manual and CNC machine tools such as lathes, milling machines, grinders (Blanchard – Surface)
- Fit and assemble parts to make, repair, or modify dies, jigs, gauges, and tools
- Design jigs, fixtures, and templates for use as work aids in the fabrication of parts or products Qualifications:
- Seeking candidates with a minimum of 5 years previous experience as a Tool & Die Maker, Toolroom attendant
- Knowledge of machines and tools, including designs, uses, repair, and maintenance
- Position requires excellent math skills and the ability to read, interpret, and follow a variety of blueprints, schematics, and work instructions
This full-time, hourly, role is a part of our Tooling team and reports to the Toolroom Manager.
Required experience:
- Seeking candidates with a minimum of 5 years previous experience as a Tool & Die Maker, Toolroom attendant
- Knowledge of machines and tools, including designs, uses, repair, and maintenance
- Position requires excellent math skills and the ability to read, interpret, and follow a variety of blueprints, schematics, and work instructions
- Ability to work in a physically active and challenging environment that includes but is not limited to; walking, standing, lifting, twisting, turning, crouching, kneeling, pushing, pulling
- High School Diploma or equivalent required and Tool & Die Maker schooling Die Building Tool & Die Maker and/or state indentured journeyman’s card
