Berkeley Carroll is a Pre-K through grade 12 college preparatory school of close to 1000 students located in the Park Slope section of New York City. Berkeley Carroll is looking for a full time Advancement Coordinator. The Advancement Coordinator will work closely with all members of the Advancement team and report to the Director of Advancement. The Advancement Coordinator provides administrative and project support to advance the School’s cultivation, stewardship, and relations initiatives. This role is responsible for gift entry and receipting, prospect research to advance fundraising, team coordination, and events support.
Responsibilities:
- Performs timely and accurate data entry of constituent data and donor gifts
- Maintain login information for matching gift and employer giving programs; Confirm matching gifts as they come in, both electronically and on paper
- Generate gift reports for the Advancement office as needed for daily and weekly accounting, and in support of issuing gift receipts to donors
- Process all gift receipts for donations on a weekly basis
- Liaise with the Business office Monthly Summary of Giving, reconciling what is in Raisers Edge database with what Business Office has on their books
- Post to General Ledger – monthly process involving migrating gift information from RE database to the school’s General Ledger in Financial Edge
- Inform Business Office of incoming stock transfers, and follow up when funds have been received
- Participate in the annual audit as necessary
- Generate additional gift reports for the business office as requested
- Support the Director of Alumni Relations in social media content creation
Other Duties:
- Manage electronic filing, including reading and summarizing all Advancement related correspondence and acknowledgement letters
- Track inventory of office and event supplies; order supplies when needed
- Support assembly of Advancement mailings
- Enter invoices and reimbursement requests for various Advancement Office functions (not events)
- Assist with planning and staffing Advancement events
- Some evening and weekend commitments are required (when appropriate)
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications

- Experience with Raiser’s Edge or similar fundraising software
- The candidate must possess excellent computer skills, including proficiency in Google Docs, Sheets, and Slides, as well as Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Experience with Veracross, GiveSmart, and iWave is not required, but preferred

Salary and benefits are highly competitive and will be offered commensurate with experience and credentials. The salary range for this position is $55k - $70k. This full-time position begins as soon as possible.
