Summary
We are seeking a skilled Altium PCB Designer with expertise in RF design to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in PCB layout and design, coupled with specialized knowledge in RF circuitry. They will play a crucial role in the development of our cutting-edge products, ensuring that our PCB designs meet the highest standards of performance, reliability, and manufacturability.
Job Duties
- Design and develop high-quality PCB layouts using Altium Designer software, adhering to industry best practices and design guidelines.
- Collaborate closely with hardware engineers to understand design requirements and translate them into functional PCB layouts.
- Utilize RF design principles and techniques to optimize the performance of RF circuits and subsystems on PCBs.
- Create components and manage company’s Altium libraries.
- Perform signal integrity analysis, impedance matching, and RF testing to validate and optimize PCB designs.
- Work with cross-functional teams to integrate RF components into larger systems and ensure compatibility with other subsystems.
- Stay abreast of emerging technologies, tools, and methodologies in PCB design and RF engineering, and incorporate them into our design process as appropriate.
- Generate documentation including BOMs, PCB layout drawings, assembly instructions, and fabrication specifications.
- Utilize Subversion (SVN) to revision PCBs and internal component libraries.
- Support manufacturing teams during the prototyping and production phases, troubleshooting any issues related to PCB design or RF functionality.
Qualifications
- Associate’s degree (or higher) in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience.
- Proven experience in PCB layout and design using Altium Designer software.
- Strong understanding of RF principles and techniques.
- Proficiency in Altium or other RF simulation tools.
- Familiarity with industry standards and protocols related to RF design, such as RF communication protocols.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail, with the ability to analyze complex issues and propose effective solutions.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Experience with high-speed digital design and mixed-signal PCB design is a plus.
Location
This position will be full time and expected to be on-site at our Atlanta, Georgia location.
