We are seeking an experienced Senior Quality Engineer to join our Maritime Solutions division. Your role will be essential in ensuring our products meet high-quality standards and comply with all regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct internal and external audits to ensure ISO 9001, nondestructive testing, welding, and calibration compliance.
- Act as the main contact for customer audits.
- Review and interpret contracts to define quality requirements.
- Ensure process compliance with ASTM, Military, DFARS, and FAR specifications.
- Inspect materials and hardware for specification adherence.
- Coordinate with inspection personnel for order shipments.
- Handle customer escapes and corrective action requests (CAR).
- Drive continuous improvement using operating system tools.
- Work with manufacturing teams to maintain product quality.
- Develop and implement quality system procedures.
- Create and maintain necessary documentation.
- Supervise and guide Quality Inspectors.
Candidate Requirements:
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- ASQ Quality Engineer certification preferred.
- Skilled in machining and blueprint interpretation.
- Six Sigma Green Belt/Black Belt certification is a plus.
- Familiar with ANSI Y14.5 GD&T and Defense Industry standards.
- Experience with DOD Contractors is beneficial.
- US Citizenship required.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Experience with ISO 9001 and AWS welding requirements is preferred.
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.
- 4+ years of experience in quality engineering and auditing.
