About the Position:
Canature WaterGroup™ is growing! We are looking for a driven, talented, and personable individual to join our team. If you are a quality specialist, with 5 or more years of experience within a manufacturing environment with additional experience in ISO you will want to consider joining our rapidly expanding business. We are seeking a Quality Manager that will be responsible for overseeing all quality assurance and control processes to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations. This position is an on-site, tactical, hands-on position for an individual that is looking at building their career in the quality assurance field.
Reporting directly to the Chief Operations Officer, the Quality Manager works closely with the operations production teams as well as other internal department and will be responsible for overseeing and monitoring products and procedures within a manufacturing environment to ensure superior quality delivering on the mission of providing customers with exceptional value. In addition, this position with working in close collaboration with the VP of Operations & Engineering as well as the Director of Quality and Customer Support.
This position will be expected to conduct regular inspections of sites, products, and operational processes within the warehouse facilities. The Quality Manager will also identify problems through root cause analysis, and train warehouse employees on proper standards and processes. This position will also collaborate with others to develop and measure quality assurance within operations as well as to develop appropriate tracking metrics and preparing reporting for the COO.
The Quality Manager will be effective in communicating with all levels of the Company and through partnership with various departments, ensure quality standards are communicated and adhered to.
Some specifics tasks this role is responsible for includes:
- Responsible for establishing, maintaining and improving quality controls systems which meet or exceed all customer requirements.
- Inspect products or procedures to determine whether they meet quality standards
- Train employees to meet quality standards in all areas of the production / assembly process
- Monitor finished products to confirm their compliance with quality standards and remove those which fail to comply.
- In collaboration with the Site leadership, implement and foster a culture of continuous improvement to enhance both quality and process efficiency
- Conduct internal audits of manufacturing processes.
- Collaborate with engineering on prints and BOM updates
- Maintain 5S processes throughout the warehouse
- Maintains quality documentation as required
- Maintenance of forms and work instructions needed for production
- Develop reporting of all internal quality inspection audit findings and convert in PPP as a metric of quality performance.
- Make recommendations for improvement in the manufacturing processes.
- Working with operations leadership collaborate on working towards ISO compliance or certification.
- Works collaboratively with operations to ensure appropriate customer and product outcomes
- Provide instruction and guidance to operations Quality Auditors.
- Other duties as assigned
About you:
- 5 plus years experience in quality control within a manufacturing environment
- Post-secondary education / degree / diploma in business management, manufacturing, or related field. A combination of education and experience will also be considered.
- Membership or professional certification in quality assurance and control is considered an asset
- 5 plus years experience in a leadership capacity within a manufacturing environment
- Proven track record in project management within a quality focused manufacturing environment
- Experience working in a production environment
- Experience in developing, managing and interpreting quality assurance programs
- Proficient in quality assurance methodologies and tools
- Excellent understanding of quality control processes
- Familiarity with ISO certification and compliance
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong interpersonal skills with a clear, positive people focus
- Superior customer service skills
- Keen attention to detail and excellent organizational skills
- Strong business acumen
- Open minded, diplomatic
- Strong planning, analytical and problem-solving skills

About the work environment:
Warehouse
- Works in an office environment within a warehouse environment. Can be subject to temperature fluctuations (heat / cold), noise and dust.
- Some overnight business travel required within the United States and Canada
- Occasional prolonged periods of sitting at a desk work on a computer.
- Occasional prolonged periods working alongside production, shipping and receiving teams within the warehouse.
- Additional hours of wok may be required occasionally in order to meet deadlines
- Ability to lift and carry at least 50lbs
