Our Specialist's primary responsibility will be coordinating and facilitating the enrollment of the company’s facilities' professional providers with various payers for professional services reimbursement.
Duties:
- Administrative tasks surrounding the pursuit of credentialing and contracting with government and commercial insurance payers, networks, or other forms of payers.
- Ongoing completion of payer credentialing and re-credentialing requirements in a comprehensive and timely manner.
- Regularly update and contribute to multiple databases of contracted and non-contracted payers.
- Manage clinician license renewals and update license trackers as necessary, ensuring all documentation is current.
- Maintain provider portal accounts and applicable databases via registration, password resets, and problem-solving any login-related issues.
- Assist in problem-solving of contracting and claims processing issues through collaboration with internal departments and contracted and non-contracted payers
Qualifications:
- 3+ years of professional Provider Enrollment / Credentialing and follow-up experience in a medical setting.
- Certified Provider Credentialing Support (CPCS) by the National Association of Medical Staff Services, preferred
- Experience in multi-state credentialing required.
- Experience in initiating and completing provider group credentialing and contracting with payers.
- Ability to follow routine credentialing procedures and processes consistently and efficiently
- Familiar with the general credentialing process as it pertains to both commercial and government insurance payers
- Excellent communication skills, serving as the point of contact for assigned customers.
- An understanding of hospital-based medical provider credentialing
- Able to work independently and in conjunction with all team members at all levels of the organization.
- Must be able to work in a high-volume, fast-paced environment with demonstrated ability to juggle multiple competing tasks and demands.
- Provide updates to on-site practice management staff and others with any changes to requirements for credentialing individual providers based on government and commercial payer credentialing processes.
- Process-driven, extremely detail-oriented, and highly organized.
- Related and proven experience with a successful track record in a similar corporate role focused on coordinating or managing credentialing/re-credentialing processes for physicians highly desired.
