MEDICAL CHEMICAL CORPORATION (MCC or MED-CHEM) is a Manufacturer and a Distributor of Laboratory Reagents, Stains and Disinfectants for the Medical, Dental and Veterinary Industries.
MED-CHEM was started in 1954 by Dr. Irving Schwartz a Pharmacist in Santa Monica, California.
Over the years, MCC has grown steadily to a nationwide company with well-known business partners and supplier to worldwide foreign distributors. We offer a wide range of in-vitro diagnostics reagents, diagnostics stains, fixatives, disinfectants and prefilled biopsy containers.
We are seeking a dynamic Sales Representative to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for driving sales and revenue growth through account management, business development, and exceptional customer service.
Duties:
- Work with distribution representatives, serve as the primary point of contact for our distributor customers; building and maintaining strong relationships to ensure smooth communication and efficient operations.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with new and existing customers
- Identify new business opportunities and drive sales to meet targets
- Conduct market research and analyze trends to develop effective sales strategies
- Utilize internal database to track sales activities and customer interactions, Stay informed about healthcare industry trends and competitors.
- Market Research- Conduct market research to identify trends and opportunities for growth.
- Leverage sales data to track sales performance, identify where products are selling/not selling, and make necessary modifications to call plans and customer sales/promotional strategies.
- Develop annual account plans based on their sales.
- Identify and win new accounts, developing relationships, and influencing customers through presentations that highlight the benefits of MCC products to consumers and distributor sales
- Manage and expand business in existing accounts by meeting with and understanding customer (and consumer trends) needs, educating/training customers on new or appropriate product lines, and selling customers on marketing/promotional initiatives
- Sales reps are encouraged to cultivate and maintain healthy relationships with current and prospective customers to increase our market share with them.
- Must be able to maintain open lines of communication with internal departments and clients to ensure full transparency on all orders and transmissions.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing or other relevant field OR equivalent experience (4+ years) in the field of sales preferably working with distributors and chain accounts.
- Proven experience in dealer sales, account management, or business development
- Experience with medical distributors must have.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills
- Experience in outside sales is preferred
- Excellent customer service skills
- Proficiency in analyzing sales data and market trends
- Maintain positive attitude and demonstrate professional behavior with internal and external customers; work collaboratively with other members of the sales, marketing, finance and operations team.
