Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Assistant Director to join our team and support the Director in the day-to-day operations of our preschool. The Assistant Director will play a key role in maintaining high standards of care, curriculum implementation, staff management, and parent communication.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the Director to ensure compliance with licensing regulations, policies, and procedures.
- Assist in developing and implementing age-appropriate curriculum and enrichment activities that promote holistic child development.
- Supervise and support teaching staff, providing guidance, feedback, and professional development opportunities.
- Oversee enrollment processes, including admissions, tours, and orientation for new families.
- Manage administrative tasks such as , scheduling, and record-keeping.
- Foster positive relationships with parents, addressing their concerns and providing regular updates on their child's progress.
- Assist in conducting staff meetings, parent meetings, and professional development workshops.
- Maintain a safe and stimulating learning environment, ensuring the cleanliness and maintenance of facilities and equipment.
- Handle any emergencies or incidents that may arise, following established protocols.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience working in a preschool setting, with at least 1 year in a leadership or supervisory role.
- Strong understanding of early childhood development principles and best practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with children, parents, and staff members.
- Knowledge of licensing regulations and accreditation standards.
- Organizational skills and attention to detail.
- CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
- Flexibility to work occasional evenings or weekends for events or meetings.

Pay: $35,000.00 - $38,500.00 per year
