Job Summary:
The Carpenter, Vinyl is based at the Mt. Airy, NC manufacturing plant, with operations in the U.S. and has overall responsibility for constructing, assembling, and ensuring the quality of wooden structures through precise measurement, cutting, and assembly techniques, while adhering to safety and production standards and meeting customer specifications. This position reports directly to the Manager, Plant (or Supervisor, Plant) and does not have direct reports.
Job Responsibilities:
- Applies vinyl materials to wooden structures, ensuring precise measurement, cutting, and placement for a seamless and weather-resistant finish.
- Collaborates with the design team to implement vinyl concepts that enhance the overall appearance and longevity of our structures.
- Selects and prepares vinyl materials, including panels, trim, and accessories, ensuring compliance with design specifications and quality standards.
- Reads and interprets design blueprints to determine the dimensions, angles, and placement of vinyl materials.
- Conducts thorough quality checks on completed vinyl applications to ensure they meet design specifications, weather resistance standards, and overall quality expectations.
- Addresses and rectifies any discrepancies identified during quality inspections.
- Customizes vinyl applications based on customer preferences and special orders.
- Works closely with other carpenters, designers, and team members to ensure seamless integration of vinyl applications into the overall structure.
- Adheres to safety protocols and maintains a clean workspace.
- Assists in other duties within the carpentry manufacturing plant, including the following:
- Erector/Siding.
- Electrical.
- Flooring.
- Framing.
- Painting/Trim.
- Press/Rafting.
- Ramps/Accessories.
- Roofing.
- Small Structures.
- Trusses.
