What’s the position?
- Become a state compliance subject matter expert in multiple jurisdictions

Ensure compliance of the Company’s gaming operations through the development, implementation and monitoring of effective internal controls

Monitor day-to-day regulatory activities and ensure that the Company’s online and retail operations are compliant with the requirements of relevant state and federal law and regulations

Actively manage relationships with both internal and external stakeholders, while serving as a reliable and knowledgeable liaison for the Compliance department

Responsible for managing the creation and implementation of processes and procedures related to Gaming Compliance as dictated by the regulatory requirements of each jurisdiction in which the Company operates

Directly interface and build excellent relationships with gaming regulators in the various jurisdictions in which the Company operates

Work with the various regulatory bodies to address incidents of non-compliance by the Company and help to create and implement remedial plans for such occurrences

Track regulatory requirements and work with internal business teams to satisfy those requirements

Provide guidance and support to other teams, working closely to ensure alignment of the wider compliance framework, such as Operations, Legal, Technical Compliance, and Assurance.

Maintain awareness of changing legislation, regulation, and industry standards interpreting this into relevant policy changes as required, highlighting any development needed, risks and/ or areas for improvement.

Draft the Company’s Internal Controls ahead of new state launches and revise/maintain them for existing markets

Build and maintain compliance matrices for new jurisdictions which will include advising the business on the compliance requirements
- Work cross-functionally across departments within the Company, often switching between competing priorities

Assists with periodic reviews and audits, ensuring compliance with regulations and internal controls or detecting potential areas of non-compliance

Provide all business units with compliance guidance and support

Respond to all issues relating to the regulatory compliance operation in assigned markets
Performs other related duties as assigned

What are we looking for?
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Minimum educational requirement is a Bachelor’s degree
-
Preferably 2+ years of compliance, legal, or regulatory operations experience in the online gaming industry or other highly regulated industry
- Ability to obtain and maintain a gaming license in various jurisdictions

Ability to exercise sound judgment, act independently, and become a subject matter expert on regulatory requirements are of critical importance

Show high standards of conduct and ethics, independence, and discretion

Possess effective communication, analytical and organizational skills

Strong critical thinking and decision-making skills

Experience in reviewing, researching and interpreting regulations

Experience communicating with senior management and government authorities

Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment

Professional, honest, and reliable

Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and MS Outlook
