JOB SUMMARY: Responsible for scanning and verification of documents to Circuit County Clerk servers; responsible for the upload of images and entry of case information to court management software.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

Reviews case documents to ensure case identification is correctly and completely recorded on documents.

Prepares case documents to be scanned.

Scans images of all court documents using a PC and scanner.

Verifies images of all scanned documents, checking for clarity, accuracy, and completeness.

Enters case information and uploads case images into court software.

Provides telephone support to poll workers as needed during major elections.

Performs other related duties as required.

WORKING CONDITIONS: Work is performed in a smoking-restricted office environment and requires the handling of old, deteriorating paper.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
REQUIRED SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND ABILITIES:
- Good knowledge of the filing procedures for civil and criminal case files.

Good knowledge of the security codes used to designate access to court documents.

Ability to review documents for legibility.

Ability to organize and maintain detailed records.

Ability to maintain discretion regarding privileged information.

Ability to attend work regularly and reliably.

Skill in the operation of a PC.

Skill in the use of Microsoft Word and Excel.

Skill in the operation of general office equipment, including calculator, copy machine, scanner, and bar code printer.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Digital dexterity is sufficient for the operation of a keyboard and mouse.

Visual acuity is sufficient for normal office activities, including the use of a PC.

Ability to communicate orally by telephone and in person.
-
Ability to lift and carry loads up to 30 pounds.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Completion of high school; some work experience with probate or other legal case processing; or any equivalent combination of experience and training which provides the required skills, knowledge, and abilities.
Employment is contingent upon the successful completion of a criminal background check.
Must be bondable.
Regular and reliable attendance is an essential function of this position.
