Job Title:Metal Rack Repair / Fabrication
General Responsibilities
- Metal Rack Repair and Modifications
- Welding accounts for approximately 50% of the work
- Adheres to all safety rules and regulations along with the Company’s Standard Operating Procedures.
- Assess condition of racks returned from customer, provides information for repair/modification quote
- Reads blueprints and weld assemblies to assure compliance to customer standards.
- Enters accurate quantities, material used and time into data collection system.
- Sets up equipment and welds parts by hand on automatic MIG welding equipment.
- Bolts, clamps and tack-welds parts to secure in position for welding.
- Conduct final inspections of welds and parts, making spot repairs to ensure stability
- Operates forklift to safely move materials.
- Requires some travel to customer sites to complete tasks.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Education/Experience
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent
- 1-3 years related experience and/or training
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos
- Apply skills to carry out instructions furnished in written and oral form
- Satisfactorily perform essential duties
- Effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to other employees and customers
- Add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure
- Physical strength, stamina, and dexterity are necessary as MIG welders frequently work with large pieces and cumbersome equipment

Pay: $17.00 - $19.00 per hour
