Key Responsibilities
- Partner with HFA Teams in regards to food safety: Assist with coaching staff on proper food handling processes and support training/implementing food safety programs and policies.
- Assist in food safety investigations: Examine and review food safety incidents and customer complaints in regards to food safety concerns.
- Conduct regular food safety inspections and audits: Identify potential hazards to ensure food safety standards are met throughout HFA facilities and provide recommendations for continuous improvement.
- Maintain records of food safety-related incidents, training, and inspections: Ensure accurate documentation and compliance.
- Ensure compliance with relevant regulations: Stay up-to-date with regulatory changes and requirements.
What We’re Looking For
- Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in food science, food safety, or related field preferred.
- Knowledge of local, state, and federal regulations related to food safety, including FDA Food Code, FSMA and HACCP (BRC a plus).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with employees, regulatory agencies, and other stakeholders.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and mitigate safety risks.
- Mid-level experience with MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Food distribution or service industry experience a plus.
- Flexible work schedule (weekdays and weekends as needed).
- Ability to travel to neighbor islands (as needed).

- Starting Pay: $55,000/year. Relevant experience will be highly considered in actual wage.
