In this role you will build key relationships, as well as develop and execute customer specific strategies to maintain and grow current customer accounts.
**Please note this is not a remote sales position. This position will be located in our sales office in order to collaborate with the manufacturing team. The work, with the exception of customer visits will be in-office.
Major Duties and Responsibilities
- Provides internal direction and decision making to cross-functional teams ensuring that business objectives are met while maintaining a high level of service and commitment to the customer.
- Develops and deploys the strategy for each key account. Maintains and facilitates growth of business with existing accounts. Identifies and secures new, profitable opportunities within assigned accounts.
- Builds relationships with decision makers who influence supplier sourcing decisions.
- Analyzes current business relationships and identifies, recommends and implements enhancements to optimize cost, revenue, logistics and customer satisfaction.
- Additional Responsibilities
- Leads account review meetings, kick-off meetings and participates in supplier business review meetings.
- Oversees part pricing administration and provides insight to sales forecasting process.
- Reviews gross margin by customer and part number.
- Assists in negotiation and execution of supply agreements.
- Plans and schedules customer on-site visits and call cycles.
- Leads internal part/line reviews and develops intimate knowledge of product life cycles.
- Requirements:3+ years of experience managing accounts in a contract manufacturing environment (prefer in injection molding plastics, packaging or similar industry), strong technical and analytical skills, strong business acumen, willing to travel regionally as needed, ability to balance the needs of the customer with those of the business, detail oriented with strong written, verbal and presentation skills, inquisitive nature, ability to build trust and strong relationships, ability to work cross-functionally at all levels both internally and externally, ability to manage multiple priorities effectively and work under tight time constraints, solution oriented problem-solving skills. Strong collaborative nature that facilitates team work and enhances communication cross-functionally. MS Office, CRM system experience. Proven experience in new account generation.Preferred Skills/ Knowledge:

- Must have own transportation and valid driver’s license for travel to customer locations. Will be exposed to manufacturing floor internally and externally (must have ability to wear PPE, may be exposed to noise, odor, and other elements depending on manufacturing processes).
