Tucker Wellness and Rehabilitation Center is currently looking for a Maintenance Director to manage the general maintenance and repairs of our Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF). The ideal candidate must have two (2) years of experience with electrical, plumbing, HVAC, painting, and general maintenance. A kind passion for working with seniors and a customer-service attitude is a must.
Hours are flexible: 40 hours per week.
Responsibilities:
Plans, organizes, develops, and directs the general operating maintenance, repair, and housekeeping of the facility and maintains proper operations of the property.
Must be knowledgeable of maintenance practices, life safety code, procedures, and the laws, regulations, and guidelines governing maintenance in our SNF.
Periodically check the maintenance communication books and complete any tasks listed and sign once complete.
Maintains the care and use of supplies, equipment.
Paint and touch up areas as necessary.
Cleans and changes heaters/air conditioner filters as necessary. Tests the fire alarm weekly.
Makes sure all designated emergency exits and walkways are clear and free from any barriers.
Conduct audits, tests, and maintain monthly logs for all life safety code and other equipment maintenance areas.
Ensure fire safety and other inspections are complete.
Develop relationships with community resources, such as the fire department.
Responds to employees and resident’s needs.
Performs maintenance duties as requested by the facility supervisor.
Requirements
Must have previous management experience.
Must at least two years of experience in SNF or LTC.
Must have the ability to plan, organize, develop, implement, and interpret the programs, goals, objectives, policies, procedures, etc.
Must be fluent in Life Safety.
Must be knowledgeable of maintenance practices and procedures and the laws, regulations, and guidelines governing maintenance in an SNF.
Must possess the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances permit such action.
Must be able to work independently and have flexibility, personal integrity, and work effectively with the residents, families, and personnel.
Salary: Competitive plus benefits
