Weber’s Farm is a century old, family farm and market located in Parkville, Maryland. In addition to selling fresh fruits and vegetables, we have a bakery, gift shop and specialty foods market. We offer pick-your-own fruits at our local orchard and press fresh apples into cider. Throughout the summer and fall seasons, we offer fun, family-oriented activities in our Barnyard.
We are seeking a detail-oriented, self-directed, and highly organized administrative assistant to help keep our business running smoothly and efficiently. This position will include administrative duties, light bookkeeping, data entry, and calendar management while working closely with the owners and management team of the business in a wide variety of areas.
This is a great opportunity to assist our team with general administrative support in an agricultural operation that grows and sells fresh fruits and vegetables directly to local consumers in addition to related retail, entertainment and food production.

This is a part-time position offering some flexible with the schedule. This would be a good position for someone with school aged children. The ideal candidate will have these qualities:
- Effective English verbal and written communication skills
- Proficiency in MSOffice, Google Suite
- Knowledge of QuickBooks Online or Square POS software is not required but would be preferred.
- Experience with Point-of-Sale systems.
- Experience with bookkeeping is not required but would be preferred.
- Problem solving skills and resourcefulness, with strong interpersonal skills.
- Strong and effective organizational skills.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Spanish language skills would be a beneficial.
The job duties of this position will involve:
- Facilitating communication between staff and management.
- Manage correspondence, including mail, email, faxes and telephone calls.
- Data entry/bookkeeping: recording and categorizing deposits, expenses, credit card statements, commercial credit accounts.
- Filing
- Manage calendar for appointments, inspections, regulatory compliance, service vendors, business filing and project deadlines.
- Monitor and follow up to check on the status of various projects and tasks.
- Assisting with keeping the management team on track to meet goals.
- Coordinate activities of a small management team to ensure organized and efficient workflow.
- Prepare communications such as memos, emails, invoices, reports, and other correspondence.
- Other administrative tasks.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $18.00 - $21.00 per hour
Expected hours: 20 – 30 per week
