We are seeking an experienced Perioperative Registered Nurses to enhance our healthcare team of innovated leaders. Santiam Hospital & Clinics is an independent, not-for-profit, 40-bed acute-care community-based hospital with 13 clinics across 8 specialties. Perioperative RNs serve in Pre/Post-Operative units, PACU, and/or circulate procedures. Perioperative RNs receive add-on hourly differential compensation added to the base RN rates for their ability to float all perioperative units; perioperative nurses receive differential hourly pay added to their base RN rates for the burden of call duty. Additionally, call standby and call-back receive an hourly rate and time and one-half times, respectively, applied to these hours.
Experienced Perioperative nurses are preferred. Except for a single partial after-hours shift per week and one weekend every sixth to eighth weekend call rotating assignment, the full-time position is four 10-hour shifts that start at 9 AM or earlier.
An active RN license with current required and maintained BLS, ACLS, & PALS certificates.
CNOR certified or other Perioperative certified positions are encouraged. Such related certifications or degrees above 2-year nursing education pays additional differentials.
Department Description: We have a busy and growing surgery department with an outstanding personable team to work! In Surgical Services, we have seven pre and post beds, three large surgical suites, and a fourth surgical-GI suite. We also service a surgical suite in the Family Birthing Center.
Responsibilities: Work in an environment where patients receive surgical interventions in the specialty areas of: General Surgery with robotics, Podiatry, Orthopedic trauma & total joint replacements, Ophthalmology, OB-GYN with robotics, ENT/Head & Neck. Acting within their scope of practice, optimize provision of surgical patient care through appropriate use of techniques in both scrub and circulating roles. Perioperative nurses ensure surgical conditions optimization via surveillance of medical equipment; effectively collaborate with Hospital staff and medical staff members toward provision of pre-operative, inter-operative, and post-operative care to surgical patients; and protect patients' rights by maintaining confidentiality of personal, medical and financial information per HIPAA.
