MicroTouch is growing and looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Android Support Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will provide technical assistance and support to our customers, ensuring a seamless and positive experience with our Android products and services. You will work closely with senior engineers, developers, and product managers to troubleshoot issues, provide solutions, and enhance our products and services.

Some of your daily duties as an Android Support Engineer will include but are not limited to:

Technical Advisor to our Direct Sales and Partner teams
- Diagnose and troubleshoot technical issues, including software bugs, performance problems, and integration of SDKs
- Help guide development of end user support tools such as our OTA server and update policies
- Provide support for our Android devices and services, responding to customers and partners technical inquiries
- Assist customers with installation, configuration, and usage of Android applications
- Collaborate with senior engineers and development teams to escalate and resolve complex issues
- Participate in the development and maintenance of support documentation, FAQs, and knowledge base articles
- Stay up-to-date with the latest Android developments, tools, and best practices
- Provide feedback to the product team on customer experiences and potential areas for improvement
Our Ideal candidate will have the following skills and experience:

Strong understanding of Android operating systems and mobile application development
- Understanding of ADB interface
- Direct software development is not required, but the ability to understand and modify code is needed
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot technical issues effectively
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users
- Customer-focused attitude with a passion for delivering exceptional support
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- Familiarity with support ticketing systems and remote support tools is a plus
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience)
- Experience with Java or Kotlin programming languages
- Experience with Android SDK and development tools
- Understanding of RESTful APIs and web services
- Experience with 3rd party libraries
- Experience with bug tracking and version control systems
