Overview:
We are seeking a full time dedicated medical office specialist that will be assisting in both front office and back office duties to join our healthcare team. This position will involve traveling to both our Toepperwein and Southcross locations. The ideal candidate will provide essential administrative and clinical support in a medical office setting.
Duties:
- Assist healthcare providers with patient examinations and procedures.
- Perform medication administration as directed by healthcare professionals.
- Conduct basic life support measures when necessary.
- Record vital signs accurately and maintain patient records.
- Utilize medical terminology and coding for accurate documentation.
- Support physicians with X-Ray procedures.
- Demonstrate knowledge of physiology to assist in patient care.
- Coordinate appointments and hospital admissions for patients.
-Check in/out patients, collect copays, deductibles, etc. Insurance verification and knowledge to obtain authorizations and/or referrals.
-Schedule appointments.
Experience:
- Prior experience in medical administrative support is preferred.
- Proficiency in medical terminology and coding is advantageous.
- Ability to accurately record and interpret vital signs.
- Familiarity within office procedures is beneficial.
- Knowledge of basic life support techniques is a plus.
- Billingual preferred
