We are seeking an Electronic Repair Technician to test, troubleshoot and repair electronic components and populated printed circuit boards. The candidate must have excellent electronic circuits troubleshooting and soldering skills to analyze and repair failures, component failures and manufacturing defects.
Duties may include:
- Testing and troubleshooting populated 12 v printed circuit boards using standard test equipment such as multi-meters, power supplies, signal generators, and oscilloscopes.
- Analyzing and repairing customer returns.
- Tabulating, tracking and analyzing test results.
Location: Nitro, WV
Pay: Commensurate with experience
Work Schedule:
Monday– Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
Qualifications:
REQUIRED
- Good work history and strong work ethic with practical experience and knowledge of complex circuity.
- Ability to meet or exceed quality and cosmetic standards in the following areas:
- Soldering
- De-soldering
- Utilize test fixtures, Volt meters, oscilloscope’s and other test equipment to validate functionality and to assist in the repair
- Ability to separate power circuitry from logic circuity on complex PCB’s. Schematics may or may not be available
- Ability to create new test fixtures and testing protocol
- Position requires operating a computer terminal, standing for occasional periods of time.
- Willingness to learn and succeed
- Ability to perform failure analysis and repair to the component level.
- Solid Mechanical aptitude a must
PREFERRED
- 5 years or more of experience
- Ability to work with Engineering Department to review and sometimes design electrical improvements
- Ability to manage time and tasks to meet target dates while meeting or exceeding quality goals
- Ability to assist in:
- Creation and improvement of repair reports, standards, and procedures
- Quality Inspections
- Creation of standardized test procedures
- Competency in manufacturing, troubleshooting, and repairing electronic assemblies
- Good computer skills

EDUCATION
- High School Diploma with equivalent experience.
