Responsibilities:
- Set up and operate CNC machines to perform precision machining operations
- Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and specifications to determine machining requirements
- Select and install appropriate tooling, fixtures, and attachments for each job
- Monitor machine operations to ensure quality and efficiency
- Make adjustments to machine settings as needed to maintain proper dimensions and tolerances
- Inspect finished parts using precision measuring instruments such as calipers and micrometers
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues with machine performance or product quality
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
Skills:
- Proficient in welding and fabrication techniques
- Experience with Mazatrol programming language
- Strong blueprint reading skills
- Knowledge of CAD software for creating or modifying designs
- Familiarity with various types of tooling used in CNC machining
- Ability to operate power tools safely and effectively
- Proficient in the use of precision measuring instruments such as calipers and micrometers
- Solid understanding of CNC machining principles and processes
